The Grande Marche - and other things

After our time at the "cyber" yesterday, Jeanne d'Arc took us into Bobo. We looked around the Grande Marché. This is an amazing place full of fantastic fabrics and artefacts from the region. We will return when we have had time to think about what we need and what we can carry... though there will be the space from the donations to fill! (At the moment, Anselme is very busy and thinks we will distribute the clothes, etc next week.)
The market is also very busy - everyone wants to sell you something! Afterwards, we walked around the streets of Bobo which were full of things we would not see in the UK. Life is lived outside here.
Lunch was at Anselme's grandmother's after which Kathryn returned to the guest house for time to rest and to do some studying on her course on liturgy and inculturation. At 7pm, it was back to the grande maison of Anselme's grandmother for supper.
It was a busy day with lots to see! Today, we will visit the town again and take photos and hopefully begin to upload some to Panoramio- especially of the ordination which is very close now!
For now, Kathryn is going to use some of our internet time to show Jeanne d'Arc some websites that will tell her something of life in the UK - which interests her very much.
Later, we will go for lunch and Kathryn will go to a women's prayer group with Anselme's grandmother.
Until next time - a bientot!
